Meet Sayeda…
My name is Sayeda Bilqees Syed, and I am running for Tarrant Appraisal District, Board Directors, Place 1. I am an energetic taxpayer advocate who will always fight for property owner rights. I am the only candidate running for TAD Board Place 1 who has experience working with the Tarrant Appraisal District on behalf of taxpayers.
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Immigrated from Pakistan in 2007 and proudly became a US citizen in 2011.
Tarrant County resident for over 16 years and have been a resident of Bedford, Fort Worth (where I bought my first home), and Colleyville. TX.
My overarching goal is for TAD to provide better, fairer, more transparent service and long-needed relief to taxpayers.
As a Tarrant Appraisal Review Board member (2019-2021), I saw many issues that need to be addressed, such as overvaluations, inappropriate removal of exemptions, ignoring evidence provided by property owners, losing good appraisers, inaccuracies in split-zoning cases of properties in two separate tax entities, and a disconnect with the taxpayer.
